OSMOSISCon Award Nominations
Know an outstanding OSINT professional? Nominate them for an OSINT Award! Each year, we honor the individuals and teams making exceptional contributions to the field of open-source intelligence. If you know someone raising the bar in OSINT, now’s the time to recognize them. Nominations are open through February 16, 2026.
Eligibility
- Chosen winners must be exemplary innovators and nimble leaders who demonstrate a commitment to community service and mentoring.
- Chosen winners must be willing to be cited in new ad promotional pieces.
- Chosen winners need not attend in person to receive an award.
- OSMOSIS Board of Advisors and OSMOSIS staff are not eligible for nomination.
- Once nominations are closed, the Board of Advisors will vote upon the submissions that are considered to have met the above criteria and eligibility. A minimum number of three valid submissions must be received before voting can commence. If less than three submissions are received, nominations may be reopened or suspended for that category.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Nominees can be submitted for more than one category. A separate nomination form is required for each submission.
Only nominations that answer all questions will be considered.
Each nominee must confirm her/his agreement to be nominated by responding to an email inquiry.
Open-Source Educator & Contributor of the Year
Awarded to an individual whose outstanding educational efforts and content contributions have significantly advanced the OSINT community by sharing knowledge, inspiring learning, and promoting open-source intelligence excellence.
Open-Source Rising
Star of the Year
Awarded to an OSINT professional who exhibits excellent potential through demonstrated investigative skills and talents and leadership at an early stage in their OSINT career (5 years or less).
Open-Source Intelligence Champion of the Year
Awarded to an individual whose investment in and commitment to open source intelligence solutions and/or training have proven distinguished achievements in investigative casework.
Open-Source Non-Profit
of the Year
Awarded to a registered non-profit whose visionary open-source work has excelled in serving the organization’s mission and whose distinguished achievements have resulted in substantial progress toward improving society and human lives.
Open-Source Technology Innovation of the Year
Awarded to an open-source technology, software, or product line launched or updated in the last 12 months whose innovative solutions have increased open source researchers’ workflow efficiencies and effectiveness.
Open-Source Lifetime Achievement of the Year
Awarded to an individual who is recognized as a seasoned and experienced leader, demonstrating greater than 10 years of commitment to open source intelligence investigations.
